What size skateboard bolts do I need?

1 inch bolts suit most setups without risers. If you run riser pads, you will need longer bolts, typically 1.25 inch or more depending on riser thickness.

What are skateboard bolts?

Bolts, also called hardware, are the nuts and bolts that attach your trucks to your deck. A set of eight secures both trucks.

Do coloured bolts matter?

Coloured bolts are cosmetic. Many skaters use one coloured bolt on the nose to quickly tell the front of the board from the back.

What else do I need to build a setup?

Along with bolts you will need a deck, trucks, wheels and bearings, or grab a ready-to-ride complete skateboard.
