In celebration of Go Skateboarding Day 🛹

This year, I want to shine a light on a powerful project that dropped just in time for Go Skateboarding Day — a short film created by Mike Marasco, someone whose love for both skateboarding and cinema runs deep.

The Blueprint for Dreams wasn’t a commissioned piece or a commercial gig — it was personal. A pure passion project, born from Mike’s drive to express what skateboarding really means beyond the tricks and the hype.

When Mike first shared the concept with Paul, the two of them dove into a conversation that all skateboarders know deep down — the idea that everything can hinge on one moment. In Paul’s case, it was those early days of learning to ride. The slams, the frustration, the decision to keep going. What if he hadn’t? What if he stayed down after that first big fall?

That what if is what this story explores. It’s not just about skateboarding — it’s about failure, recovery, and the mindset that pushes people to keep chasing their dream, no matter how rough the path gets.

Mike captured something timeless in this film:
Fall. Get back up. Keep the dream alive.

It’s a simple idea, but it’s everything. Especially today, as we celebrate skateboarding around the world, it’s a reminder of why we ride — and why we keep pushing forward.
